Project Overview

The MyRide app aims to revolutionize the car rental industry by offering a seamless and user-friendly platform for individuals and businesses to rent vehicles for various purposes. With a focus on convenience, affordability, and reliability, MyRide provides an extensive range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its users.

To get started all they have to do is register and make a request for a car, input their location and pick up area.

Then the app connects their request to the closest list of cars which they then select their preferred car, customers can also request specific cars.

Role

I worked as a product designer with the client to help them bring their idea to life.

I also took on the responsibility of conducting research into the app's primary pain points, mapping out user flows, and crafting the MVP version of the app.

Deliverables

Customer mobile app and Rental company’s app.

Starting with the basics

Initially, I engaged in a brief session with the client to delve into the concept. The purpose was to identify the user needs to be addressed and align them with the business objectives.

I had to grasp the functionality of the app and explore similar applications that carried out comparable operations through research.

Drawing on the client's experience in operating a ridesharing app similar to Uber, we utilized their expertise to inform the design process. We narrowed down the app's stakeholders to three potential user groups.
